The 2008 XL7 is a 4-door, up to 7-passenger sport-utility, available in 13 trims, ranging from the Base 2-Row 2WD to the Limited 3-Row w/Navi AWD.

Upon introduction, the Base 2-Row 2WD is equipped with a standard 3.6-liter, V6, 252-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. The Limited 3-Row w/Navi AWD is equipped with a standard 3.6-liter, V6, 252-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission is standard on both trims.

The 2008 XL7 is a carryover from 2007.
